Engage the Word – March 27, 2015

1. Before you read, quiet your heart for one minute of silence

2. Read the following Scripture:

20 “Do not be afraid,” Samuel replied. “You have done all this evil; yet do not turn away from the Lord, but serve the Lord with all your heart. 21 Do not turn away after uselessidols. They can do you no good, nor can they rescue you, because they are useless. 1 Samuel 12:20-21

3. What God saying to you through this Scripture?  Pause for another minute and let God speak to you in your silence

4.  Read the following Scripture:

18 While he was saying this, a synagogue leader came and knelt before him and said, “My daughter has just died. But come and put your hand on her, and she will live.” 19 Jesus got up and went with him, and so did his disciples.

20 Just then a woman who had been subject to bleeding for twelve years came up behind him and touched the edge of his cloak. 21 She said to herself, “If I only touch his cloak, I will be healed.”

22 Jesus turned and saw her. “Take heart, daughter,” he said, “your faith has healed you.”And the woman was healed at that moment. Matthew 9:18-22

5.  Does this relate to my life?  What does God want me to do with this passage of Scripture? Pause for one more minute and reflect upon what God is speaking to your heart in this moment.

6.  The Gloria
“Glory be to the Father, and to the Son and to the Holy Spirit.  As it was in the beginning, is now and ever shall be.  World without end.”
Amen.
